EMPLOYEES & SOCIETY
Our sponsorship of local causes reflects our
commitment to our local communities. We strive
to make a positive impact on our employees’
lives – also in their free time. With this in mind, we
sponsor local sports clubs and local events in the
areas in which our facilities are located. The aim is
to strengthen cohesion and development in the
local communities in which our employees live.
Additionally, we actively support the fight
against cancer each year through the Danish
Cancer Society’s ‘Knæk Cancer’ campaign. We do
this as an overall effort: our employees fundraise
and donate – and then Frode Laursen doubles
the amount. This has become a cherished
tradition, one that both the company and our
employees are proud of, bringing us all closer
together at Frode Laursen.
Sponsorship in 2024
The Red Cross
Local support
For the fourth successive year, Frode Laursen
chose to make a donation to a charitable
cause instead of giving Christmas chocolates
to customers. The chosen charity this time was
the Red Cross and their international work in
conflict zones.
“It is not a difficult choice at all. It just
makes really good sense – not only for us,
but also for our customers. So it is one of those
Christmas traditions we have chosen to stick
with,” says Thomas Corneliussen.
This year’s donation was DKK 130,000.
Frode Laursen also makes a point of supporting local causes, as we want to do our bit to support our
local communities. In 2024, we therefore supported
Åstorp sports club, Vitten community centre and
Jyderup swimming pool, among others. In total,
local donations amounted to DKK 183,000.
Knæk Cancer
Employees and Frode Laursen collectively
donated DKK 42,320 to the Danish Cancer
Society’s ‘Knæk Cancer’ campaign.
Christmas aid to vulnerable families
In 2024, Frode Laursen employees were given the
option of forgoing their company Christmas gift
and instead giving a donation to Mødrehjælpen.
Many employees opted to do this, and in December, we were able to present DKK 130,000 to
Mødrehjælpen’s Christmas aid programme.
Transport helps reduce food waste
Since 2022, we have had an arrangement to help
with transport for Wefood, which is part of DanChurchAid and sells surplus food from its six stores
in Danish cities. In 2024, we transported 90 pallets
of surplus food between Zealand and Jutland.
In Sweden, we have helped the organisation
Hjälpenhemlös to transport 125 pallets of surplus
food.
