It must be safe to go to work at Frode Laursen, and
we do our utmost to prevent work-related accidents.
All employees have the right and access to the
necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), and
we conduct incident analyses and provide the necessary safety training.
Liaison committee meetings are held regularly,
at which work-related accidents and preventive measures are discussed.
Frode Laursen collects comparable data from the
countries in which we operate. The results are reported four times a year to the group’s Board of Directors,
ensuring that we continually focus on improving the
working environment.
EMPLOYEES & SOCIETY
Safety campaigns
In 2024, we ran targeted safety campaigns at our
logistics centre in Jyderup and our transport division
in Denmark. Our transport division collaborated with
the educational institution Tradium to run a project
focusing on preventing accidents. External consultants interviewed our drivers. A total of 266 interviews
were conducted, with the common themes being
ergonomics, falls, and the importance of focusing on
the road. This has provided in-depth knowledge of our
drivers’ daily working lives and the challenges they
face, which we will actively address going forward.
Despite this focused initiative, we saw a slight in-
crease in the number of accidents, from 56 to 59. One
of these instances unfortunately led to the death of
a driver at the company FL Polska, as the established
procedures were not followed. We have subsequently carefully reviewed procedures for all employees,
strengthened communication and highlighted the
importance of compliance.
Although the number of accidents increased,
the number of sick days resulting from accidents fell
by 31%, indicating that the accidents were generally
minor. At the same time, we are pleased that increased
focus and training have led to an increase in reporting
of minor and ‘near-miss’ incidents by employees.
That said, the number of accidents is less than
satisfactory. Consequently, in 2025, we plan to expand
our safety campaign to more Frode Laursen locations
and to continue our targeted initiative to improve
safety.
Sickness absence
As in 2023, we focused once again on reducing sickness absence among both hourly paid and salaried
employees in 2024. By holding work safety courses,
and through targeted measures in departments
with high rates of sickness absence, we have tried
to reduce sickness absence further. In addition, we
also offered a flu vaccine to all employees in autumn
2024. However, these combined efforts have only had
