CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENT
Scope 2 for Frode Laursen represents 1% of our total CO2e emissions and
consists of energy consumption at our locations in Denmark, Sweden,
Germany and Finland.
By definition, the very idea behind our multi-share warehouse solution is
sustainable: shared facilities help save resources, both in transportation and
at the logistics centres. Nevertheless, with over 629,000 m2 of warehouse and
office space, Frode Laursen needs to find the best way of both constructing
and operating its logistics centres.
We are constantly striving to reduce our energy consumption and thereby
reduce our environmental impact.
In 2024, we saw a slight 4% rise in Scope 2 emissions. In 2023, we decided not to purchase green electricity certificates, as we believe they do not
adequately support the green transition. Since then, we have researched
alternative and more effective ways of securing green electricity. Alongside this
initiative, we have focused on expanding our solar panel projects, and we have
plans to install solar panels at our new logistics centre in Vejle. Currently, we
have solar panel installations in Jyderup, Denmark and Åstorp, Sweden.
Until these projects have been fully implemented, customers who so wish
can still store their goods using green electricity supplied via green electricity
certificates. In 2024, all electricity at our logistics centre in Eskilstuna was
covered by such certificates.
