CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENT
Frode Laursen’s most significant environmental & climate impact and risk
comes from our transport activities,
which is our key focus area.
Alternative fuels and new equipment, combined with a focus on
vehicle fill rates, route planning and
driving style, enable us to achieve annual reductions in our CO2e emissions.
Our particular focus in terms of our
logistics centres is the construction of
new logistics centres, their location and
the use of alternative energy sources.
We are also dedicated to minimising
waste, reducing plastic consumption,
and increasing water recycling.
One of Frode Laursen’s goals is to
reduce our Scope 1 and 2 CO2e emis-
sions by 35% between 2020 and 2030.
In 2024, we succeeded in reducing
these emissions by 16% compared to
the previous year. This means that, to
date, we have reduced our total Scope
1 & 2 CO2e emissions by 37% overall
since 2020.
Simultaneously, our total Scope 1
and 2 CO2e intensity has decreased by
14%, resulting in an overall reduction of
32% since 2020.
In 2024, Scope 3 emissions accounted for a larger share of Frode Laursen’s
total CO2e emissions, rising from 75% in
2023 to 79%. This rise was mainly due to
the increased use of external hauliers
and transport companies.

CO2e emissions decreased by 1.15%,
from 109,104 tonnes in 2023 to 107,850
tonnes in 2024.
In 2024, Frode Laursen joined the
Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi),
with the goal of being carbon-neutral
by 2050. By joining SBTi, we commit
to reducing our Scope 1, 2 & 3 CO2e
emissions, while ensuring our climate
goals align with the Paris Agreement’s
objective of limiting global temperature rise to no more than 1.5 °C above
pre-industrial levels.
As part of this commitment, we will
reassess our Scope 1 and 2 targets and
set a target for Scope 3 in 2025.
